8l/MIDI Omni Mode/On-Off (On-Off)
Switch parameter to choose between MIDI Omni and Poly modes of operation, When the switch
is ON, the Mirage will operate in the MIDI Omni Mode. When the switch is OFF, the Mirage
will operate in the MIDI Poly Mode. In the Omni Mode, the Mirage wi11 receive MIDI data on
all 16 MIDI channels. In the Poly Mode, the Mirage will receive MIDI data on only the channel
selected by param. 82. It will always transmit MIDI information only on the channel selected by
param. 82.
82/MIDI Channel Select (01-16)
In the MIDI Poly Mode, you must select one of 16 MIDI channels on which to receive MIDI
data. When a channel is selected, the Mirage will recognize only data received on only that
channel. Any MIDI data received on any other channel will be ignored.
83/MIDI Thru Mode (On-Off)
Switching parameter to determine whether or not the Mirage will "pass along" MIDI data it
receives. When ON, the Mirage will echo all MIDI data it receives regardless of channel. When
OFF, the Mirage will not echo any data it receives, except clocks, but will send data it creates. In
short, when switched ON, this parameter turns the Mirage's MIDI Out jack into a MIDI Thru
jack.
84/MIDI FUNCTION ENABLE (0-3)
Selects which types of MIDI information will be sent and received by the Mirage. With this
parameter you can instruct the Mirage to send and receive only key information, key and
controller information, or key, controller and program change information. This last
combination, which is the default value (VALUE 2) allows external instruments and sequencers
to send LOAD instructions and Program changes to the Mirage (see the charts). The parameter
has four possible settings:
