Adjusting the unit bracket
The support plate (7) can be swung in two
directions (horizontally and vertically). It
can thereby be set at virtually every angle
of vision to the driver.
Note:
Do not swing the support plate in both
directions at the same time! Before mov-
ing, always take the Traffic Assist off the
unit bracket.
Vertical
> Loosen the fastening screw (2) far
enough to be able to swivel the carrier
plate (8) downwards from above with-
out using excessive force.
> Hold the base (5) with one hand and
swivel the carrier plate (8) to the desired
position with the other hand.
> Tighten the fastening screw (2) suffi-
ciently so that the Traffic Assist is held
securely in place when the vehicle is in
motion.
Horizontal
> Loosen the fastening screw (1) far
enough to be able to swivel the carrier
plate (8) from left to right without ex-
erting excessive force.
> Hold the base (5) with one hand, and
swivel the carrier plate (8) to the desired
position with the other hand.
> Tighten the fastening screw (1) suffi-
ciently so that the Traffic Assist is held
securely in place when the vehicle is in
motion.
Attaching the Traffic Assist
The docking station (6) is equipped with
four guides, the carrier plate (8) has corre-
sponding retaining lugs.
> Position the docking station with the
guides onto the carrier plate retaining
lugs.
> Push the docking station downwards to
the stop.
The Traffic Assist has attachment points
for the docking station on the top and
bottom of the housing.
> Insert the Traffic Assist with the attach-
ment points on the bottom of the hous-
ing into the docking station.
> Press the Traffic Assist into the docking
station without using excessive force
until the clip (7) engages in the attach-
ment point.
Removing the Traffic Assist
> Press the clip (7) on the unit holder
with one finger and remove the unit
from the unit holder using your free
hand.
