Switching the function on / off

function will be switched on or off. The
current setting is indicated via display of
the relevant icon in colour.
• Left icon: The function is switched on,
the Traffic Assist does switch off auto-
matically.
• Right icon: The function is switched
off, the Traffic Assist does not switch off
automatically.

Automatic on/off

FM transmitter

Note:
Operation of the FM transmitter is not
permitted in all countries. The use of the
FM transmitter in countries in which op-
eration is not permitted, may result in
criminal prosecution.
During activation of the transmitter, you
are prompted to declare in which country
the transmitter is to be operated. You
then receive information as to whether
the use of the FM transmitter is permit-
ted in this country. Please note that this
information is only valid at the time of
delivery of the Traffic Assist. Subsequent
changes are not taken into account.
Please also note that when crossing bor-
ders, other laws and regulations may ap-
ply which prohibit the use of the trans-
mitter.
If the FM transmitter function is activat-
ed, all audio outputs (e.g. navigation voice
announcements, music) of the Traffic As-
sist are transmitted on a certain radio fre-
quency. If the corresponding frequency is
now set on the installed radio, the audio
output of the Traffic Assist can be heard
via the radio.
