The machine is in Distinctive Ring
mode. You cannot change the
Receive Mode from Manual to
another mode.
(For New Zealand)
The machine is in FaxAbility mode.
You cannot change the Receive
Mode from Manual to another mode.
The machine failed to detect the
original (disc or photo) when
scanning.
The room temperature is too high.
A hub or USB Flash drive with hub
has been connected to the USB direct
interface.
The proportions of your photo are
irregular so effects could not be
added.
The size of your photo is too small to
trim.
Troubleshooting

Set Distinctive Ring to Off.

Set FaxAbility to Off.
(See How to Turn FaxAbility OFF or
ON on page 52.)
Do one of the following:
Remove any dirt from the scanner
glass.
Before scanning, choose the type
of the document (disc or paper).
While scanning, close the
scanner cover.
Place only one sheet on the
scanner glass.
Make sure the document is
placed correctly on the scanner
glass.
After lowering the room temperature,
allow the machine to cool down to
room temperature. Try again later.
Hubs, including a USB Flash drive
that have a hub built in, are not
supported. Unplug the device from
the USB direct interface.
Choose a regularly proportioned
image.
Choose a larger image.
