5.3.1.5 WPS (Only available for 7300N)
WPS (WiFi Protected Setup) feature is a standard protocol created by Wi-Fi Alliance. This
feature greatly simplifies the steps needed to create a Wi-Fi network for a residential or an
office setting. WPS supports 2 types of configuration methods which are commonly known
among consumers:
PIN Method
&
PBC
Method.
Wi-Fi Network Setup (only for BiPAC 7300N)
PIN Method: Configure AP as Registrar
1. Jot down the client's Pin (eg. 16837546).
2. Enter the Enrollee's PIN number and then press Start.
3. Launch the wireless client's WPS utility (eg. Ralink Utility). Set the Config Mode as
Enrollee, press the WPS button on the top bar, select the AP (eg. wlan-ap) from the WPS AP
List column. Then press the PIN button located on the middle left of the page to run the scan.
