2.11 Short thread cutter

Thread-pulling knife height
As standard the height of the thread-pulling knife is set through the
washers underneath the knife carrier 3 to a distance of 10.9±0.05
between the upper edge of the knife carrier 3 and the screw-on area
of the hook bearing (see the picture).
Pay attention to the number of washers when dismantling the
thread-pulling knife!
Position of the thread-pulling knife
The thread-pulling knife 1 cannot be shifted on the knife carrier 3. This
allows to exchange of the thread pulling knife 1 without having to
reset the trimming pressure.
In its resting position the thread pulling knife 1 has to cover
completely the knife-edge of the counter-knife in order to avoid
damage on the upper thread.
The swing range of the thread-pulling knife measures 23° and is
defined by the control cam's 4 geometry.
Note!
Make sure that the control cam 4 bears against the clamping ring 5
and that the printing on the control cam 4 is readable. If the printing
on the control cam 4 is upside down, the control cam 4 has been
mounted the wrong way.
