Clearing paper misfeeds and jams

Clearing jams in tray 1, 2, or 3

The feed heads and the feed rolls are delicate and can be
damaged if this procedure is not followed precisely.

1. From tray 4

To clear a jam in tray 1, 2, or 3:
1. Clear jams in the left side door. Refer to the section "Clearing
jams in the left side door" in this chapter.
2. Open tray 1.
3. Carefully remove all jammed paper.
4. Close tray 1.
5. Open tray 2.
6. Carefully remove all jammed paper.
