Clearing paper misfeeds and jams

4. Lift handle 4a and carefully remove all jammed paper,
ensuring that all pieces are removed if the paper is torn.
5. Turn the green handle 4b to free any immovable paper.
6. Reposition green handle 4a.
7. The fuser area is on the right side of the paper transport (1 in
the figure above). Lift handle 4c on the right hand side and lay
the inverter transport back.
8. Lift handle 4d and clear all jammed paper. Rotate knob 4e
counterclockwise to clear any immovable paper.
NOTE: Occasionally a sheet of paper may wrap around the
heat roll. (The heat roll can be seen when handle 4d is up.)
DO NOT attempt to remove this sheet of paper because
doing so could damage the stripper fingers. Call your service
representative to remove this piece of paper.
9. Reposition green handle 4d and close the inverter transport
4c. Ensure the magnets are in place front and back.
10. Slowly push in the paper transport until it stops. Ensure that
the green handle is seated properly.
11. Close the right and left front doors.
12. Follow the instructions on the touch screen to restart your
print job.
