indicated oil level must be level with
the top of the lined area.
If the oil level is too low, add oil a
little at a time until the correct level
is reached.
Once the correct level is reached, fit
the filler plug/dipstick.

The engine oil and filter must be
replaced in accordance

Maintenance and Adjustment
Prolonged or repeated contact with
engine oil can lead to skin dryness,
irritation
addition, used engine oil contains
harmful contamination that can
lead to skin cancer. Always wear
suitable protective clothing and
avoid skin contact with used oil.
Warm up the engine thoroughly, and
then stop the engine and secure the
motorcycle in an upright position on
level ground.
Place an oil drain pan beneath the

engine.
Remove the oil drain plug.

The oil may be hot to the touch.
Avoid contact with the hot oil by
wearing
clothing, gloves, eye protection,
etc. Contact with hot oil may cause
with the skin to be scalded or burned.

Unscrew and remove the oil filter
using
T3880312. Dispose of the old filter in
an environmentally friendly way.
Apply a thin smear of clean engine
oil to the sealing ring of the new oil
filter. Fit the oil filter and tighten to
25 Nm.
Fill the engine with a 10W/40 or
15W/50
motorcycle engine oil that meets
