This manual describes the installation and operation of the MCS-D 200 system without the control and configuration via PC. MCS-D 200 is a fully digital multimedia-based conference system in single-cable design. It can be used for small and large events in permanent installations or for mobile use.
If you connect defective or unsuitable accessories, the equipment could be damaged. Only use connection cables available from or recommended by beyerdynamic. If you use cables you have made up yourself, all claim to warranty is null and void. Maintenance •...
The MCS-D 200 control unit is the heart of the system. It controls the delegate, chairman and interpreter microphone stations. The MCS-D 200 control unit has a modular power supply unit to power a maximum of 15 microphone stations (optional 30).
Mains connection with fuse (6.3 A safety fuse) NetRateBus conference sockets, MCS-D 200 with 1 Push-Pull socket to connect other power supply units for example. Fan outlet (number of fan outlets depends on the number of power supply units integrated into the control unit) RS 232 C (1).
3.2.3 How to switch the Control Unit on/off • Before switching the MCS-D 200 control unit on, please check all connections. If there are additional power supply units connected to the control unit, we recommend switching on the devices as described in the following: 1.
In this rule of thumb, an adapter (CA 4212/13/14 or CA 4222/23/24) approximately counts as half a microphone station. Example of a system set-up: 1 MCS-D 200 control unit with 2 power packs....10 MCS-D 202 interpreter stations + 1 D/A interface + 2 adapters 1 CA 4146 power supply unit.

MCS-D 200 – Microphone Units In the following you will find some examples for channel descriptions. The list has been created via the menu of the MCS-D 200 control unit beforehand. channel 1 Channel 1 is the conference or original channel (OR).
The MCS-D 202 interpreter station can directly be integrated into a conference network. The MCS-D 202 does not need a separate control unit and like all other microphone units in the network, it can be connected to the MCS-D 200 control or a CA 4146 power supply unit.
Connect one of the conference sockets of the MCS-D 202 interpreter station to the NetRateBus socket of the MCS-D 200 control unit or the CA 4146 power supply unit. Each interpreter station should be specified with an identification number (ID) in order to render an address. This may be done via the INTERPRETER IDs menu of the MCS-D 200 control unit. Optional, the identification numbers may directly be assigned at each interpreter station one after the other. This way, you will always have an overview of the system, especially of large systems.

The CA 4211 is connected between the MCS-D 200 control unit and the CA 4146 power supply unit or between the MCS-D 200 control unit and microphone units when using the external DC voltage input.
When there are more than 30 microphone units we recommend using a redundant cabling, e.g. with CA 4213/14 T or X adapters, for a trouble-free operation of the MCS-D 200 conference system. Single-sided powering of the microphone stations which are set up as a branch Please calculate the maximum cable length.

MCS-D 200 – Examples Setup of the microphone stations in a circle With redundancy i.e. powering the microphone stations on both sides, any cable of the circle can be removed during operation without interrupting the meeting. All microphone stations are then powered on one side. In this way a microphone station can be replaced during operation for example.
