Abbreviation of "Private Branch eXchange."
Private telephone system that connects various internal devices with the

PING
Abbreviation of "Packet Internet Groper."
Program for testing if a connection can be set up to a defined

turned to the source. A message documenting the success/failure of the
test is output along with additional information, where applicable, such as
transmission time.
