Menu Descriptions
The selections to access a menu or feature, starting from the Operating Menu, are shown in
(parentheses). The menu descriptions shown are with the 44.1 kHz Base Sample Rate
selected. If 48 kHz is selected, the menus remain the same, except multiples of 48
replace 44.1. The menu descriptions follow the order of the Menu Tree on page 40.
Operating Menu
The Operating Menu is the top level menu. All other menus are reached from this menu.
Function button #1 (MTRMODE) toggles between the Meter Display Mode settings. Re-
peated button pushes choose NORMAL, FINE, and BITS.
Function button #2 (MTRSRCE) toggles between the Meter Sources. Repeated button pushes
choose OUT_1, OUT_2, and DIG_IN. In AD+DD44 mode only, DIGIN_2 also appears.
OUT_1
= Digital output 1 is used as the meter source.
OUT_2
= Digital output 2 is used as the meter source.
DIG_IN = Digital input 1 is used as the meter source.
DIGIN_2 = Digital input 2 is used as the meter source. (AD+DD44 only)

Function button #3 (OPS 2) selects the Second Operating Menu which contains the most
often used HDCD 16-bit encode and monitor controls, and selection of the Monitor Source
Menu (SOURCE). Function button #4 (LEVELS) selects the Levels Menu. Function button #5
(SETUP) selects page one of the Setup Menu. Descriptions of the Second Operating Menu,
Monitor Source Menu, Levels Menu, and Setup Menu are on pages 41 to 45.
Second Operating Menu
The Second Operating Menu is reached from the Operating Menu by selecting (OPS 2).
