Menu Structure

The menu structure is shown in tree form on page 40. The top level menu is the Operating
Menu. To get to the Operating Menu from any other menu, press and hold the Menu Up
button. The active modes of the function buttons are labeled above them on the graphic
display. For example, from the Operating Menu, pressing the function button labeled OPS
2 will call up the Second Operating Menu. Some menus display the option MORE... which
selects an additional page in the menu. For example, from the Setup Menu, pressing MORE...
will select the second page of the Setup Menu, and so on. Pressing MORE... on the last
page of a multiple page menu will roll back to the first page of the menu. The Recall
Presets and Store Presets Menus may have multiple pages depending on the number of
presets stored. The menu selections necessary to access a menu or feature, starting from
the Operating Menu, are shown in (parentheses).
The menu name, OPERATING MENU shown above, always appears in the upper left hand
corner of the display. The selected Operating Mode appears on the first line after the menu

176 and DD44-176. If 48 kHz is selected as the Base Sample Rate, the Operating Modes
are: AD_48, DD48-48, AD+DD48, AD_96, DD96-48, DD48-96, DD96-96, AD192, DD192,
DD192-96, DD192-48, DD96-192 and DD48-192. The Base Sample Rate and Operating Modes
are selected in the Operating Mode Menu (SETUP/MODE).
The word length set for digital output 1, OUTPUT 1: (HDCD16 shown above), appears below
the menu name or below the operating mode. The word length set for digital output 2,
OUTPUT 2: (HDCD24 shown above), appears under the digital output 1 word length.
Output word length options are: HDCD24, HDCD20, or HDCD16. Output word lengths are
set in the Digital Output Menu (SETUP/OUTPUT/OUT_1 or OUT_2).
The meter reference level, REF LEVEL: (-14 shown above), appears on the second, third, or
fourth line of the menu. The meter reference level range is between -6dB and -21dB and is
set in the Meter Setup Menu. The bottom line displays the active modes of the five Func-
