operating yourTV withthe HS-U780 remotecontrol

Press the TV button
on the HS-U780
remote control.
O
Point the remote
control
towards
the remote sensor on the TV
and press
the desired
buttons.
O
To once again control
the VCR, press
the VCR button.
Because
of variations
among models,
some or all buttons
may not
work, or they may operate
different
functions
than expected,,
for
your particular
TV. If this occurs, you may need to use your TV
remote
control.

part of using your VCR, but often the
most confusing:
how do you view a picture
coming from tlhe VCR?
Beforeyou begin,youshouldknow:
• whether
you are viewing
a "Modern
_I_¢ " or an "Older TV"

Viewing the picturecomingfrom your VCR if you are usin!;] a
modernTV
O
Turn on your TV and switch it to the correct
external
input.
(For most Mitsubishi
TVs, this means pressing
the T_s
INPUT
button
until you see the words; "Ext-l"
or "Input-1"
on
the screen.)
Turn the VCR on by pressing
the POWER
button.
You are viewing the picture
fl'om your VCR! If you wish to return
to normal
TV _dewing, switch your TWs input back to its previous
position.
If you are using a modern
TV, be sure to set the "RF converter"
of
the "Customize
choices" menu to OFF to prevent
noise in the
picture.

If your system
includes
a home theater
receiver
or an A/V
receiver,
refer to your home theater
receiver's
owner's
guide.
Viewingthe picture comingfrom your VCR if youare usinq an
olderTV
O
Turn on your TV and tune it to channel
"l or 4.
Turn on the VCR by pressing
the POWER
button.
O
Check to see if the '_VCR" light on the f_ont panel display
is
lit. If it is not lit, press the VCR]TV button
until it is lit. You
are viewing
the picture
from your VCR!
This light must be on
when you watch
a video tape or use the VCR menus.
