Making a Copyof a Tape(cont.)

Set the I.P. switch on your HS-U760
to "I)UB." This turns
off
the sharpness
control and improves
the quality
of your copy.
In addition,
the on-screen
displays
will not appear,
so they
won't be accidentally
copied onto your new tape. Make sure to
set the I.P. switch
to ON or NORMAL
wlLen you're done.
Set the input
of the other VCR to "External."
If you connected
the EDIT jack, see "Using edit control"
later
in this chapter
to make the copy.
Put a blank tape into the other VCR and find the place where
you want to begin record:mg.
Press STOP. If the other VCR is
a Super VHS VCR, be sure to use an S-VHS tape, and. to set
the recording
format
to S-VHS.
Put the tape you want to copy into the HS-U760
and find the
place from which you want to begin copying. Press STOP.
On the other VCR, press record (REC), and then PAUSE.
On the HS-U760,
press PLAY and then ]?AUSE.
Release
the PAUSE
button
on both VCRs at the same time.
Press STOP on both VCRs when you ar_ finished.
Using edit control
If the other VCR you are using is a Mitsubi_hi
VCR with an EDIT
jack, you can synchronize
the starting
and stopping
of the VCRs
when editing.
This greatly
simplifies
editing_;, and requires
only
the additional
connection
of an edit cable between
the two VCRs.
Connect
the two VCRs as described
in the pcevious
section
(Using
your HS-U760
to play back to another
VCRI, anct follow the
instructions
in the table at the top of the _e_t page.
