Press the MENU button
on the remote
control. The "VCR
Main Menu" appears
on your screen.
Use the ADJUST
dial on
the remote
control
to move the cursor
next to "Program
to
record." Turn the shuttle
ring right.
If there is at least one programmed
recording
already
entered,
you will see the "recap" screen. You can choose an empty
recording
slot, or wait four seconds
and the VCR will auto-
matically
choose the first empty slot.
You will see the VCR Plus+
"Program
to record"
menu.

You will see the "Program
to Record" m_nu. Turn the AD-
JUST
dial to choose the channel
you would like to record (for
example,
channel
2). Turn the shuttle
ring right.
• If you are using
a cable box that the VCR cannot control,
enter the channel
number
on which the cable box sends a
signal
to your VCR (usually
channel
,3 or 4).
• If you wish to record fi_om an external[
source, press the
INPUT
button
or turn the ADJUST
dial until "External
LI" or "External
L2" appears.
Select ";External
Lr' to
record from an external
source connected
to the rear panel;
select "External
L2" to record from an external
source
connected
to the front pane].
• If you are recording
from a satellite
receiver,
you do not
need to select "LI." Simply choose the channel
you would
like to record (for example,
channel
245.)
The "Day" will flash. Turn the ADJUST
dial to highlight
the
day on which you want to record (for example,
Monday
the
nineteenth).
Turn the shuttle
ring right.
When selecting
a day, your choices are: a single day up to one
month
away, every day from Monday
throu;,_h Friday,
or the same
day every week. To program
for every day fi_om Monday
through
Friday
(to tape a soap opera, for example),
turn the ADJUST
dial
until "Monday-Friday"
appears.
To program
the same day every
week (to tape your favorite
weekly sitcom, for example),
turn the
ADJUST
dial until "Every"
and the desired
day of the week
appear.
The hour numbers
of the starting
time, along with the am/pm
indicator,
will flash. Turn the ADJUST
dial to set the hour
when you wish recording
to start. Turn
the shuttle
ring right.
