to turn the VCR on.

dial on
the remote

to move the cursor
next to "Program

record."
Turn the shuttle
ring right.

Use tile ADJUST
dial to place
the cursor
next to the program
you wish to cancel.
Press the CANCEL
button.
The prograr_
is erased.
Press the MENU
button
once to return
_o the Main Menu;
press it again
to turn
off the menus.
usingtheTIMERRESET button
You can use the TIMER RESET
button
oll the rear panel to erase
both the time and all programmed
recordinl_s.
To use the TIMER RESET
button,
press it with a pencil or a ball
point pen. The power will turn
off and the clock will reset. All
programmed
recording
is erased.
Additionally,
the TIMER
RESET
button
wiill reset the on-screen
language
you selected.
The next time you u;_e the menus,
you will
have to select the on-screen
language.

loading a tape for programming
If, after programming,
you forget to load a tape, or if you load a
tape with its erasure
tab removed,
then the programmed
record-
ing light and the tape status
symbol
will fl_!.sh. A tape without
an
erasure
tab will be ejected.
To correct
this, load a tape with its
erasure
tab intact,
and turn off the VCR.
usingthesatellitereceiver
Your VCR can turn your satellite
receiver
c n and off when it is
time for a programmed
recording.
You can view satellite
channels
through
:_oar VCR when your
VCR is off only if you connected
your VCR and TV with an
S-Video cable. If you used a standard
video cable, you can only
view satellite
channels
through
your VCR when the VCR is on.
memory backup
If the VCR is without
power for 30 minutes
or less, it will retain
the time and the programmed
settings,
provided
the VCR has
been plugged
in for at least an hour beforehand.
If the power is
lost for more than 30 minutes,
the time and the programmed
settings
will be lost.
