1) Function
eA document is illuminated by the LED array, alld the reflections pass through the reduction-projection lens and are im-
aged on the CCD image sensor.
eThe document image is photoelectrically transferred by the CCD image sensor, and an analog image signal correspond-
ing to one line of the document is continuously output.
• The analog image signal enters the image signal processing circuit in ASIC (IC404) and then is coverted into a digital
data.
2) Circuit Operation
[Start]
When the START/COPY button is pressed, IC401 pin4 goesto a highlevel and Q401 is turnedON, whichmakes CN406
pin 2 go to a low leveland the voltageappliedto the LED array to turnon the LED.
F1, F2, FR and FTG signalsare outputto the CCD boardto drivethe CCD image sensor.Therefore,when the LED is
turnedON, the VIDEO (analogimage signal)is outputfrom the CCD boardto CN405 pin 7.
