Chapter 3 Operation Settings
RV use start time
Determine when to make the RV available after Separate execution.
RVUSE=IMMEDIATE
RVUSE=COMPLETE
[RESTORE] section
Specifies operation performed when the iSMrc_restore or iSMsql_snapshotrst
command is executed.
RV operation mode
Specify an operation mode for RV when Restore is executed.
MODE=UPDATE
MODE=PROTECT
[IOCONTROL] section
Specifies operations regarding various replication operations I/O issue controls to the disk array.
I/O issue path
Specify the replication operation I/O issue path to the disk array.
IOPATH=DIRECT
IOPATH=MANAGER
Connection port number
Specify a socket port number for connecting to the NEC Storage Manager (replication
management).
IOPORT_MANAGER=socket port number
After Separate execution, the RV is immediately available while the difference between
the MV and RV contents is being reflected into the RV.
After Separate execution, the RV becomes available when the difference between the MV
and RV contents has been reflected into the RV.
The default is COMPLETE.
Restoration is performed while the updated data of the MV is being reflected into the RV.
The default is UPDATE.
Restoration is performed without the updated data of the MV being reflected into the RV.
The updated data is managed as difference.
Directly issues the replication operation I/O to the disk array.
This is the default value when the IOPATH parameter is not specified.
Connects to the NEC Storage Manager (replication management) currently in operation on
the same server and allows the NEC Storage Manager issue the replication operation I/O
to the disk array.
This setting is valid when MANAGER is specified as IOPATH.
