The focus area or focus range for adjusting focus varies depending on the
shooting mode.
• The subject is too (:lose to the camera. Try shooting with Macro mode (_64)
or Close-up scene mode (_45).
• When shooting in I_1 (auto) mode or continuous shooting mode, you can set
the way the focus area is determined using the AF area mode (_37).
• The camera may be unable to focus on the subjects for which autofocus does
not perform as expected (_29). If the camera does not focus, try pressing the
shutter-release button halfway several times or try focus lock (_76).
