Features That Can Be Set Using the Multi Selector
Using the Self-timer
Tile camera is equipped with a self-timer that releases tile shutter ten or two
seconds after you press tile shutter-release button. The self-timer is useful when
you want to be in the picture you are taking, and when you want to avoid the
effects of camera shake that occur when you press the shutter-release button.
When using tile selfitimer] use of a tripod is recommended. Set Vibration reduction
in the setup menu (_100) to Off when using a tripod to stabilize the camera.
1 Press _1 (_ self-timer) on the multi selector.

Use the multi selector to select ____lOs or ____2s
and press the _ button. _®
• _Q)IOs (ten seconds): suitable for group pictures [ l [
• _)2s (two seconds): suitable for preventing ca mera shake
• When the shooting mode is setto Pet portrait in scene
mode, I_J (Pet portrait auto release) is displayed ([_)48).

• If the _) button is not pressed within a few seconds, the selection will be canceled.

• When the shutter is released, the self-timer
turns OFF.
• To stop the timer before a picture is taken,
press the shutter-release button again.
