Operating problems

Problems you may have while using the scanner often involve the
operation of your software and computer. Operation problems
usually occur because of:
Incorrect setup of the interface (see Chapter 2).
Inappropriate selection of the scanner functions (see your
software documentation).
Incorrect setup of your computer or software (see Chapter 2
in this guide or the software documentation).
Incorrect operation of your software (see your software
documentation).
Also see the documentation that came with your computer and
printer for possible solutions.
The Operate light does not come on.
Cause
The scanner is off.
The scanner is not
connected correctly.
The scanner does not scan.
Cause
The scanner is not ready
to scan.

Press the P operate button to turn on
the scanner.
Make sure the power cord is
connected to the scanner and plugged
into a power outlet.
What to do
Wait until the operate light is green
(ready for scanning).
