• Set network interface board with file settings: put <Filename (file settings)>

z To print a binary file created by a Windows printer driver, print in the binary mode.
z You can log in with spaces or with another user name other than root, but you can
perform only operations other than settings.
z You cannot log in as "Anonymous".
You can use e-mail to notify you when a paper jam occurs, an ink tank runs
out of ink, and so on. You can set e-mail notification to inform provide a
partial status report of the printer for the device errors listed below:
• Paper jams, paper out, requests for another type of paper or special
print media, or errors that require recycling the printer off and on.
• Errors that occur when consumables such as ink are exhausted and
require replacement.
z E-mail cannot inform you about some errors.
z When the number of e-mails exceeds 16 as the result of e-mail transmission
failures, the older e-mails are deleted and not sent.
z E-mails are sent via the Web Browser to provide notification about the printer
status, so you must perform the settings for e-mail notification. (Æ "Setting Up the
E-mail Notification Function", P.2-35)
z You can use settings to have e-mail notification inform you only about the status of
the specified printer.
