Description
An online firmware update was
successful, but a subsequent
Error
step failed. In dual-controller
configurations, this may cause the
other to not update properly.
In dual-controller configurations,
each controller restarts at least
Informational
once during an online firmware
update. During these restarts, the
system is not redundant.
The SCSI subsystem is being
Informational
initialized as part of the power-on
sequence.
The MSA is scanning for attached
Informational
SCSI devices as part of the
power-on sequence.
The MSA is initializing all
Informational
discovered SCSI devices as part of
the power-on sequence.
The SCSI subsystem has
experienced a hardware failure
Error
and is not operating correctly. The
array controller has halted itself
and cannot continue.
The MSA does not support SCSI
Single Ended (SE) devices; it
Error
only supports SCSI Low Voltage
Differential (LVD) devices.
The array controller has been
Error
inserted in an MSA chassis in
which it is not supported.
The MSA is not properly identifying
Error
an external storage enclosure.
The MSA has a number of internal
devices that are accessed via an
I2C hardware bus. One of these
devices failed when attempting to
read from it. Certain I2C devices
Error
are considered critical and will
result in a failure of the array
controller, while others may result
in some loss of functionality (such
as lost display messages).
Action
Restart the system.
In dual-controller configurations,
if the 07 CLONE FIRMWARE?
'<'=NO, '>'=YES message is
displayed, select >.
Contact HP support.
Power off the MSA and then
examine all attached SCSI devices.
Remove any SE devices and
replace them with LVD devices.
Contact HP support.
Do the following:
1.
Remove power from the MSA
and all attached storage
enclosures.
2.
Reseat all cables to the
external storage enclosures.
3.
Verify that all cables are
connected in a supported
manner.
4.
Apply power to the external
storage enclosures.
5.
Apply power to the MSA.
Should the issue persist, contact
HP support.
If the issue persists, contact HP
