Sideways alignment
After the hook carrier 4 has moved into its extreme left position
(machine end position) the spreader stop 3 may not hit the knife holder
2 lying in its right end position.
–
Loosen the lock nut and move the knife holder 2 to the right toward
the spreader stop 3 by turning the setting screw 5 .
The clearance between the knife holder and spreader stop must be
0.3 mm.

Tighten the lock nut again.

Check the safety clearance between the needle and the upper
thread knife.
With the maximum buttonhole width set and stitching at the right
side the needle must pass the upper thread knife 1 with an assured
clearance.
