Remove the component as indicated.

To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Hard drive drawer
To remove the component:
Power down the MDS600
1.
Disconnect all cables.
2.
Remove all power supplies
3.
Remove all fan modules ("Fan" on page 31).
4.
Remove all hard drives
5.
CAUTION:
bays they were removed from.
Be sure the hard drive drawer is closed completely.

Remove all I/O modules
7.
Pull down the handle on the front of the drawer, but do not extend the drawer.
8.

down" on page 25).

To avoid data loss, be sure that the drives are labeled and returned to the same
("Hot-plug I/O
module" on page 32).
