Getting Assistance

Follow these three steps if you encounter a problem:

The fastest way to solve most problems is through the
"Maintenance and Troubleshooting" chapter.

Make sure you are operating your HP Fax in the correct
environment. The HP Fax is not supported and will not receive
faxes with:

If you're unable to resolve the problem after reviewing the
"Maintenance and Troubleshooting" chapter, contact your dealer
or the HP Customer Care Center for further assistance.

Roll-over phone systems (such as automatic answering
systems), voice mail, call waiting, and some other advanced
features provided by your phone company on the phone line
used by your fax.
Be sure to have the following information at hand
Product name, model number (printed on the keypad), and
serial number (label on the back or bottom of the product).
A description of the problem, including any error messages.
Purchase date and proof of purchase. (Refer to the "Hewlett-
Packard Limited Warranty Statement," on page 40.)
