Each telephone number is assigned a specific ring pattern. Ring patterns that are recognized by your HP Fax are single, double, triple, and double and triple. If you have questions about how answer patterns work in your area, call your local telephone company.

You are pressing the buttons faster than it can register. Slow down. No low ink warning. The HP Fax does not monitor ink usage. However, the cartridge is transparent when empty. Remove the cartridge and to visually see how much ink is left.
