After you cable the switch, you set up the switch IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. Once the IP addresses
have been set they cannot be deleted, only edited. There are two ways that you can set the IP
addresses. You can use a serial connection described next or use an Ethernet connection with or
without using a DHCP server.
If you choose to set your switch IP address using DHCP, then there are several requirements to
consider:.
At the conclusion of this procedure, you exit the EZSwitchSetup wizard and launch the
EZSwitchSetup Switch Configuration Manager.

Setting up the switch IP addresses using a serial connection

1. Verify that you are connected to the switch.
2. To set up IPv4 addresses, enter the requested information on the Setup Switch IP Address
3. Optional: To set up IPv6 addresses, enter the IPv6 address and CIDR block in the spaces

IPv6 is not supported in RedHat Linux9 OS.
