BEFORE USING THE MusicCAST SYSTEM
MCX-A10 client operation:

Press and hold MENU on the client until
the Top Menu screen is displayed.

Press u / d to choose "Setup" and
press SELECT.

Press u / d to choose "System" and
press SELECT.

Press u / d to choose "System
Update" and press SELECT.
The System Update screen appears.

Press p .
The client automatically checks the content of
the upgrade CD-ROM, and the messages
"Receiving" > "Data Check" > "Flash Erase" >
"Flash Write" > "Verify" > "Update O.K."
appear in succession in the front panel display.
The client restarts automatically.
The upgrade process is complete.
When the upgrade for both the server and the
MCX-A10 client is complete, you can use the server
and MCX-A10 client functions that were upgraded
through this procedure.

Recovering the server from an
upgrade failure
If the version upgrade fails due to a power cut or for
any other reason, restart the server and follow the
procedure below.
If the version upgrade is successful, "3.0.x" appears
in the "Main CPU" and "MCX-A10" fields of the
System version screen. For details, see the
MCX-1000 Owner's Manual, page 132.
Note
Do not remove the upgrade CD-ROM from the CD
drive until the recovery operation is complete.
Case 1
The "OSD VERSION MISMATCH" screen
appears
The "NEED TO UPDATE AMP
DATABASE" screen appears
In this case, the recovery operation starts
automatically. When the message "UPDATE OK"
or "RECOVERY OK" appears on the left side of the
screen, follow the procedure below.
