LISTENING TO EXTERNAL COMPONENTS
Listening to components
connected to the server
You can use your client to enjoy audio from an
external component connected to either the
OPTICAL IN, COAXIAL IN, or ANALOG IN jack
on the server.
Notes
• Changing the external source selection on a client
changes the external source selection for all clients
connected to your server.
• You cannot use this function when the server is in
Broadcast mode because the server can only
distribute one source signal at a time to clients.
• The server cannot distribute signals from external
components or AV receivers in PCM format.
Signals are distributed in MP3 format quality,
regardless of the PCM settings on the server.
