[Beach & Snorkeling]
This is optimal for taking pictures underwater and at the beach. Depth meter will
automatically operate. It can be a rough indication of how deep you have gone
underwater.
Press [MODE].
Press 3/4/2/1 to select [Beach & Snorkeling], and then press
[MENU/SET].
∫ About the [Depth indicator]
Make sure to perform [Depth indicator] in [GPS/Sensor] menu to set the depth meter
before you dive underwater.

Press 3/4/2/1 to select [GPS/Sensor] menu, and then press [MENU/SET].

Press 3/4 to select [Depth indicator], and then press [MENU/SET].
Confirmation screen is displayed. Depth meter will be set to 0 m (0 feet) when [Yes] is
selected. Exit the menu once completed.
∫ About the screen display underwater
When [DISP.] is pressed several times, the environment information
screen for the depth meter, etc. is displayed.
A Depth meter
Depth meter will display the depth to 12 m (40 feet) in 3 levels.
When the third level is flashing
Entire depth meter is flashing
Camera will automatically set to the optimal picture quality for underwater from the depth
information. Icons showing the picture quality will switch in such a case.
It is adjusted to optimal picture quality for underwater up to a depth of 3 m (10 feet)
