Obtaining Software for Installation

There are two ways you can obtain the Media Flow Controller or Media Flow Manager
software for installation on generic x86 64-bit hardware from Juniper Networks Support:
Juniper Networks ships you a CD or USB drive with the software; you can also download
an ISO image and burn a CD. This guide describes how to install from CD or USB drive.
You use PXE (preboot execution environment) to obtain the software image. You must
have a PXE server configured in order to use the PXE installation option and a Web server
to serve the image. How to configure your PXE server for Media Flow Controller or Media
Flow Manager installation and how to install with PXE is described in this guide.
Important!
on generic x86 64-bit hardware. This guide is not intended for use with Juniper Networks
Media Flow Engine appliances on which the software is pre-installed.
