To adjust the shadow map resolution:
1 Choose the Advanced 3D Renderer, as described in the steps above.
2 Click the Options button.
3 Choose an option from the Shadow Map menu. These options represent the resolution
in pixels. Choose Comp Size or a resolution larger than the composition size for best
results.
4 Click OK.
Anti-aliasing in the Standard 3D Renderer
Rendered edge-on 3D animations, or animations where the edges of rotated layers are
angled toward the viewer, can display a ragged edge if they are not accurately anti-aliased.
In the Standard 3D Renderer, you now can apply more advanced anti-aliasing to those
edges for a smoother appearance.
To access the Standard 3D Renderer options:
1 Choose Composition > Composition Settings.
2 Click the Advanced tab.
3 Make sure that Standard 3D is displayed in the Rendering Plug-in menu and click the
Options button. Choose one of the following options from the Anti-aliasing menu:
Faster Renders the animation without employing any advanced anti-aliasing, which
results in a faster render, but with possibly ragged edges on edge-on animations.
More Accurate Employs advanced anti-aliasing when rendering the animation, which
may slow the render time, but will create edge-on animations with smoother edges.
