START HERE
TEST ACROSS BULB

VOLTS OR MORE ON
VOLT/OHMMETER

30 PIN CONNECTOR

TURN IGNITION OFF, DISCONNECT 30 PIN
CONNECTOR FROM EC-17
TURN IGNITION ON AND MEASURE
VOLTAGE BETWEEN BATTERY PINS
B1, K2, K3 AND GROUND PINS A1, A2,
A3 ON WIRE HARNESS CONNECTOR
VOLTAGE SAME AS BATTERY
VOLTAGE. MUST BE
BETWEEN 11 AND 17 VOLTS.
USING A LAMP (1157 STOP LAMP BULB)
PLACE A LOAD BETWEEN PINS B1 AND A1.
MEASURE THE VOLTAGE ACROSS THE TWO
IS VOLTAGE 11 VOLTS OR
REPLACE EC-17
CONTROLLER

RECONNECT CONNECTOR TO EC-17
CONTROLLER. CHECK THE VEHICLE
WIRING FOR CONTINUITY. REFER TO
NO
THE VEHICLE SERVICE MANUAL AND
CHECK THE BATTERY VOLTAGE.
REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRING AS
NECESSARY AND RETEST.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM (WIRING,
CONNECTORS ETC.) MAY BE
LIMITING CURRENT FLOW
REPEAT THE "INITIAL
START-UP PROCEDURE"
