Installing, Replacing, and Configuring the Nokia Encryption Accelerator Card
Caution
To help guard against electrostatic discharge damage, make sure
you are properly grounded by using a grounding wrist strap and
following the instructions provided with the wrist strap before you
handle the components or open the appliance. If you do not have a
grounding wrist strap, make sure you are properly grounded before
you touch any electronic component.
Removing, Installing, and Replacing the Nokia
Encryption Accelerator Card
The Nokia IP2255 appliances have four slots on the front of the appliance that
hold one NIC each. You can install the Nokia encryption accelerator card in
any available slot.
The Nokia encryption accelerator card does not support hot swapping. You
must shut down the appliance before you remove, install, or replace a Nokia
encryption accelerator card.

Before you Begin

To remove, install, or replace a Nokia encryption accelerator card you need
the following:
Physical access to the appliance
Access to the appliance by using Nokia Network Voyager or the CLI
Phillips-head screwdriver
Suitable, grounded work surface on which to place the Nokia encryption
accelerator card
Replacement or new Nokia encryption accelerator card
