Connecting Network Interfaces

Connect the interface that you configured during the initial configuration to
the network to use as the Nokia Network Voyager system-management
interface.
You can also connect the remaining LAN interface cables at this point,
although you are not required to do so.
To connect Gigabit Ethernet devices to the copper Gigabit Ethernet NIC,
use a straight-through or crossover cable with an RJ-45 connector.
For details, see
page 65.
To connect Gigabit Ethernet devices to the fiber-optic Gigabit Ethernet
NIC, use a multimode fiber-optic cable with an LC connector for each
NIC interface.
The destination end of the cable can be either LC or SC, depending on the
type of connector required for the destination Gigabit Ethernet device.
You can also use a half-duplex LC-to-LC cable to loopback the transmit
port of an interface to the receive port.
