Preventing Users from Changing Settings

Setting all Virus Protection Settings Final
If you want to make sure that the users cannot change some or any of the
Virus Protection Settings, you can set these settings final. There are
different possibilities for doing this:
If you want to prevent users from changing a certain setting, click
on the lock symbol beside it.
When you are on one of the pages on Settings tab, you can set
all the settings on the page final at once by clicking
Changes. This page-specific short-cut it affects only the settings
that have an attached lock symbol and it operates all lock
symbols on the page at once.
If you want to set all settings for both Virus Protection and
Internet Shield final, go to the Settings tab and Centralized
Management page, and click
settings.... This operation sets also the Advanced Mode settings
final.
In this example all the Virus Protection settings are set final.
1. Select Root in the Policy Domains tab.
2. Go to the Settings tab and select the Centralized Management page.
3. Go to the Settings tab and select the Virus Definitions Updates page.
4. Check that all the settings on this page are defined as they should be.
Click
Disallow user
changes. All settings on this page are now
marked final.
5. Select the Real-Time Scanning page.
6. Check that all the settings on this page are defined as they should be.
Then click
Disallow user
changes.
7. Select the Manual Scanning page.
