Configuring Scheduled Scanning

This section contains instructions for some advanced Virus Protection
administration tasks, such as configuring scheduled scanning from the
Advanced Mode user interface and configuring the Anti-Virus Proxy.
A scheduled scanning task can be added from the Policy Manager's
Advanced Mode user interface. In this example a scheduled scanning
task is added in a policy for the whole policy domain. The scan is to be
run weekly, every Monday at 8 p.m, starting from August 25, 2003.
1. Open the View menu and select the Advanced Mode option. The
Advanced Mode user interface is opened.
2. Select Root in the Policy Domains pane.
3. Select the Policy tab in the Properties pane (the middle pane).
4. On the Policy tab, select:
F-Secure/F-Secure Anti-Virus
5. On the Product View pane (on the right) select the Scheduling Table
page.
6. The currently set scheduled tasks are displayed in the Scheduling
Table. Now you can add scheduled scanning as a new task.
7. Click the
Add
button. This adds a new row in the Scheduling Table.
8. Click the Name cell on the row you just created and then click Edit.
The Name cell is now activated and you can enter a name for the new
task. For example, 'Scheduled scanning for all hosts'.
