3. With CANbridge NT 420 make sure that operaonal mode Star Coupler (1) is selected.
• In Repeater/Star Coupler mode the mapping table is deacvaed.
• All messages are ransmied unchanged.
4. In the conguraon tree (6) select General.
5. If checkbox Only for specied device (4) is enabled, enter the serial number of the device to which the
conguraon can be wrien.
6. If checkbox Expert Mode (5) is enabled, select the desired setngs (for more inormaon see User Manual
CAN-Gateway Confguraor).
7. Congure the baud rate for all acve CAN ports (6) (see User Manual CAN-Gateway Confguraor for more
inormaon).
8. For descripon of further conguraon possibilies see User Manual CAN-Gateway Confguraor.
9. To write the conguraon to the device, click buon Write to (3).
10. Click buon Save or Save As (2) to save the conguraon.
IMPORTANT
Observe the bus load when setng the baud rates. If the bus load is high on a port with high
baud rate but the other port has a low baud rate, a bus overload can occur.
6.4. Bridge Conguraon
By using the mapping table and the mulplexing table the Bridge mode allows free conguraon of the
transmission of CAN messages. With the CANbridge NT 420 bridging between Classic CAN and CAN FD is
possible.
