5.3. Checking and Updang the Firmware
To use all features the latest rmware versions of the CAN-Gateway Conguraor and of the CANbridge NT must
be installed.
Checking the Device Firmware
1. Make sure, that the latest VCI driver is installed.
2. Make sure, that the device is correctly connected to the host computer and to power supply.
3. Make sure, that the latest CAN-Gateway Conguraor is installed (check within product support pages on
www.ixxat.com/support-bridges-gateways.
4. Start the Ixxat CAN-Gateway Conguraor.
5. Open menu Scan and select All Ixxat devices.
• Connected devices and rmware version of the devices are shown.
Updang the Device Firmware
IMPORTANT
Whether a password is needed, is dened in the security setngs of the CAN-Gateway Conguraor.
The default password is IXXAT. For more inormaon see User Manual CAN-Gateway Confguraor

The rmware is constantly improved and expanded! Check if a newer rmware version is available
within the product support pages on www.ixxat.com/support-bridges-gateways.
If the current rmware of the device in use is V4 or older:
