Turning on the air flow indicator
CAUTION
There is a risk of burns or damage to surfaces!
Observe the directions below during operation:
► Do not look into the nozzle!
► Do not aim the air flow indicator at living beings! Danger
due to splashing, hot smoke droplets (approx. 300

► Do not aim the smoke at objects hotter than 300

F.
Always use the air flow indicator with a nozzle.
4.2.1
Generating smoke
1. Slide the switch up (Fig. A/10).
2. Hold the button down: Smoke is produced while the button
is pressed down.
Release the button: no smoke is produced.
Or
3. Slide the switch down: Smoke is produced continuously.
The LED lights up green while smoke is being produced.
The LED flashes green and less smoke is produced, or
none is produced at all: the fluid supply is insufficient (e.g.
air in the hose system).
Flow Check
In that case:
1. Slide the switch up and press and hold the button.
Or
2. Slide the switch down until smoke is produced again.
4.3
Turning off the air flow indicator
Slide the switch up, button is not pressed (Fig. A/10).

If a fault occurs, the Flow Check switches itself off
C /
automatically. The red LED flashes.
o
Slide the switch up, button is not pressed: the red LED
C /
goes off after 10 seconds at most.
