  • Page 5 install: MOUNTING BOLTS (these are the larger of the two included in the kit) • slide 8 rail bolts per side into the factory mounting tracks on top of your roof . you will need to remove the rubber endcaps to gain access. THE FINAL LOCATION OF THE BOLTS WILL BE DIRECTLY ON TOP OF THE STUDS THAT ATTACH THE MOUNTING RAILS TO THE VEHICLE.

  • Page 14 INSTALL: WIND DEFLECTOR • USING M8 X 14 BOLTS AND 3x TRAKLOK NUTS, FASTEN WIND deflector AS SHOWN TO the yellow t-slot in the load bar. center slot. THIS CAN BE DONE ON EITHER ASSEMBLY AS THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. NOTE: the wind deflector will face forward on the vehicle when installed.

Align the 8 t-bolts into the slots on the mounting brackets. • Carefully lift the front section of the rack onto the vehicle.   • Page 17 tighten: M8 locknuts • adjust the side bar to be 1/2” from the front edge of the mounting bracket. Fig A - Detail A • Tigten the 8 M8 locknuts on the underside of the mounting brackets. This is best done using a 13mm ratcheting wrench. A rachet and socket will not fit.

    •All locks must be turned and moved periodically to ensure smooth operation. Use graphite or dry lubricant to help this. Leitner designs locks are designed to deter vandalism and theft but should not be considered theft proof. Remove valuable gear if your vehicle is unattended for an extended period.
