  • Page 6 PREP: PREP FRONT AND REAR bars • Install 2 clamp plate assemblies per side into the front and rear bars as shown. make sure the teeth on the clamp plate face out. CLAMP TEETH FACE OUT front of vehicle *before continuing to assemble the rack the front bars must have 2 small t-nuts inserted per side.
  • Page 7 assemble: frame of rack • on a soft working surface lay out the six aluminum extrusion bars as shown. we recommend a moving blanket layed out on a flat floor as the rack is too large to assemble on a table. rear front V1 | Page 7...
  • Page 8 assemble: side bars • the bronco 4 door rack utlizes a two side bar assembly. these must mate using two large T-nuts and four set screws per side as shown in figure a below. •the t-nut must line up in the middle of the parting line between the two bars as shown in (figure B) •tighten all set screws to a torque spec of (3FTLBS) Note: these bars can only be assembled in 1 direction.
  • Page 9 ASSEMBLE: rack corners • PUSH ONE OF THE CORNERS OF THE RACK TOGETHER AS SHOWN BELOW. MAKE SURE THE SIDE BAR touches OFF AS SHOWN ON THE STOP LIP ON THE FRONT/BACK EXTRUSION (Yellow surfaces). Also make sure the Front/back bar fully touches the inside of the side bar (BLUE surfaces).

  • Page 15 IDENTIFY: REAR BRACKET POSITIONS •WHILE THE REAR BRACKETS MAY ALL LOOK THE SAME AT FIRST GLANCE IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW THEir LOCATIONS FOR EASE OF ASSEMBLY *THESE BRACKETS ARE not DRIVER OR PASSENGER SIDE SPECIFIC BUT THEY ARE FROM FRONT TO BACK. THE MIDDLE BRACKETS WILL HAVE TWO SLOTS AND THE REAR MOST BRACKETS WILL HAVE A SINGLE notch.

    •All locks must be turned and moved periodically to ensure smooth operation. Use graphite or dry lubricant to help this. Leitner designs locks are designed to deter vandalism and theft but should not be considered theft proof. Remove valuable gear if your vehicle is unattended for an extended period.
