Fitting Instructions
Step 5
Installing running board
5.1 Open vehicle door to deploy the motor
bracket. Use M6 bolts and M6 spring washers
provided, mount running board to bracket.
Do not tighten bolts fully, as you may need
to adjust the position of the running board.
5.2 Open and close vehicle doors to check
position of power boards.
Adjust position of idler and motor bracket,
as well as running board if necessary and
tighten all bolts (M6 & M8 bolts) once
position is finalised in Step 5.4.

5.3 In some cases, the 'U shape' packing washers may need to be placed in
between the front side of the bracket assembly and vehicle bracket mounting
points to correctly position Clearview Power Boards.
In these few instances, the M8 bolts used to hold top bracket to vehicle will
need to be loosened to insert the 'U shape' washer.
NB: If Power Boards are
not working as they
should, please go back
and REPEAT ALL STEPS
to help troubleshoot or
help pinpoint the
fault/cause/issue etc.
5.4 Once running board is correctly positioned, tighten all bolts in the board.
Cycle the board 2-3 times to allow idler/motor bracket to settle.
Secure idler motor brackets in a cross-pattern formation, then check alignment and that
gaps are even.

HANDY TIP: Power Boards have a safety cut-off, if binding or under too much tension,

Board 'home' position
they will not deploy. Loosen up bolts to ease tension, re-align where adjustment is
needed. When installed correctly, boards will engage when door is open etc.
NB: Do not tighten
bolts fully til Step 5.4
