Maintain System Configuration Diskette

Select this option to create, load, copy, or delete any neces-
sary system configuration information (SCI) files. You can
also use this option to copy and delete CFG files.
Depending on the system configuration, you might want to
modify the system board SCI file. Before configuring the
system, you must copy configuration files for the EISA
boards, and in some cases, ISA boards. This section pro-
vides copying procedures for both.
CFG files are required to correctly configure EISA boards.
Every EISA board contains settings that determine how the
board works within the system. These settings are in a con-
figuration file and are copied to and stored in the system.
All EISA boards should come with CFG files. If not, check
the configuration files that come on the ECU diskette or
contact the EISA board manufacturer to obtain the appro-
priate files. If your ISA boards did not come with a CFG
file, see "ISA Boards without CFG Files" in this chapter.
