Remove the disc by pressing the Eject button to open the
tray. Remove the disc, and press the Eject button to
close the tray.
If the eject function is disabled by software or a power
failure, use the emergency eject function (see Chapter 9).

System Reset

A system reset is a system restart after your computer is
powered on. You can reset your computer manually when a
software or hardware problem prevents you from using the
system. You can initiate a reset automatically under certain
conditions.
The following sections describe conditions for manual and
automatic resets.
CAUTION: Resetting
information from RAM disks, volatile system
memory, and application programs. Information
saved in files on disk, like program and data files,
are not usually affected by a system reset.

Manual Reset

Reset your computer manually if a software or hardware
problem prevents you from using the system. Situations that
require a reset include the following:
