SAFETY INSTRUCTION
Use of Personal Protec琀椀ve Equipment (PPE)
Welding arc rays from all welding and cu琀�ng processes can produce intense, visible
and invisible (ultraviolet and infrared) rays that can burn eyes and skin.
Wear an approved welding helmet 昀椀琀琀ed with an appropriate shade of
昀椀lter lens to protect your face and eyes when welding, cu琀�ng or watching.
Wear approved safety glasses with side shields under your helmet.
Never use any equipment that is damaged, broken or faulty.
Always ensure there are adequate protec琀椀ve screens or barriers to protect
others from 昀氀ash, glare and sparks from the welding and cu琀�ng area.
Ensure that there are adequate warnings that welding or cu琀�ng is taking
place.
Wear suitable protec琀椀ve 昀氀ame resistant clothing, gloves and footwear.
Ensure adequate extrac琀椀on and ven琀椀la琀椀on is in place prior to welding and cu琀�ng to
protect users and all workers nearby.
Check and be sure the area is safe and clear of 昀氀ammable material before carrying out
any welding or cu琀�ng.
Some welding and cu琀�ng opera琀椀ons may produce noise. Wear safety ear protec琀椀on to
protect your hearing if the ambient noise level exceeds the local allowable limit (e.g: 85 dB).
