Owner's Guide
1 . Ensure the lens cap is fully installed by pressing the lens cap until it snaps into place .
2 . Install the intraoral light shield by first snapping onto the neck of the device under the reflector, then sliding up to snap into place around
the reflector (see figure below) .
3 . The intraoral light shield is specially designed to allow placement of the lens flush with the curing plane . The light shield will block
reflected blue light from the tooth surface, provided the lens is placed close to the curing plane . Always ensure the intraoral light shield
is attached to mitigate the effects of reflected blue light . The intraoral light shield is also designed to fit beneath the single-use barrier
sleeve, to provide increased infection control . Always ensure the intraoral light shield is installed beneath the barrier sleeve to provide a
proper fit .
4 . Examine the lens cap for any debris on the surface . Any debris on the lens cap may reduce the effective light output of the device . If any
debris is observed, scrape all debris off or replace the lens cap prior to use .
WARNING: Always inspect the output window, including lens cap and barrier sleeve, for debris that may be blocking light
output. Any debris blocking light output may significantly reduce the effective irradiance of the device and may lead to
restoration failure.
CAUTION: Only utilize lens caps provided with this device or listed in these instructions as accessory components .
5 . If any damage is observed to the lens cap or light shield, replace prior to use .
6 . Install single-use barrier sleeve by sliding the open end of the sleeve over the handpiece . Ensure the seam of the barrier sleeve is not
placed over the output window . Install the extraoral light shield by snapping into place in the desired location .
7 . Examine the barrier sleeve for damage prior to use on patient . If any damage is observed to the barrier sleeve, immediately replace .
WARNING: Failure to properly inspect barrier sleeve for damage may lead to an increased risk of cross-contamination.
8 . If the indicator LED on the handpiece is turned off, pressing the activation button once will bring the device into ready state . Once the
indicator LED turns green, the handpiece is ready for use . Pressing the button will activate the curing LED . The handpiece will run for a
20-second cycle, with an audible tone at 10 seconds and two tones at the end of the cycle .
9 . When ready to cure material, ensure the output window is flush with the curing plane . The distance and angle between the output
window and the cure plane is critical for successful light curing; therefore, always ensure the output window is placed as close to the
material being cured as possible and held steady for the entire desired cure time .
Hygiene tips:
• Always use single-use barrier sleeves and replace after each patient .
• Place intraoral light shield underneath barrier sleeve to minimize risks of cross-contamination .
