Take some measures to avoid the side
effects of not using the vehicle.
Besides, it is necessary to carry out gen-
eral repairs and checks before garaging
the vehicle as one can forget to do so af-
terwards.
Proceed as follows:

Empty the reservoir and the car-
burettor completely.
Remove the spark plug, and
pour a spoonful of four-stroke
engine oil (5 - 10 cm³) in the cyl-
inder.
Set the ignition switch to «ON»
and press the engine starter but-
ton for some seconds to distrib-
ute the oil evenly on the cylinder
surfaces.
Remove the protection cloth.
Refit the spark plug.
Remove the battery.
Wash and dry the vehicle.
Polish the painted surfaces.
Inflate tyres.
Place a suitable support under
the vehicle to keep both wheels
off the ground.
Store the scooter in a cool, dry
place, not exposed to sun rays
and with minimum temperature
variations.
Wrap and tie a plastic bag
around the exhaust pipe open-
ings to keep moisture out.

Men moet enkele voorzorgsmaatregelen
treffen om de effecten van het niet ge-
bruiken van het voertuig tegen te gaan.
Bovendien moet men de herstellingen en
de algemene controle vóór het opbergen
uitvoeren, anders kan men vergeten om
dit vervolgens uit te voeren.
Handel als volgt:
Ledig de tank en de carburator
volledig.
Verwijder de bougie, en giet in
de cilinder een lepeltje (5 - 10
cm³) olie voor 4takt motoren.
Plaats de ontstekingsschake-
laar op «ON» en druk voor en-
kele seconden op de startknop
van de motor, om de olie uni-
form op de oppervlakken van de
cilinder te verdelen.
Verwijder het beschermende
doek.
Hermonteer de bougie.
Verwijder de accu.
Was en droog het voertuig.
Breng was aan op de gelakte
oppervlakken.
Blaas de banden op.
Plaats het voertuig zodanig dat
beide banden van de grond zijn,
door gebruik te maken van een
speciale steun.
Plaats het voertuig in een niet
verwarmd lokaal, zonder voch-
tigheid, beschermd tegen zon-
